That's why we bought an Escort rather than a 309 back when I was a kid. The Peugeot felt really cheap and nasty inside whereas the percieved quality of the Escort was far higher. I bet the 309 lasted longer...

I drive a V6 auto one many years ago. It was slower than I thought it would be. Also I remember the horn button popping out at me. I remember nothing else about it
