Re: Do EVs make sense to you?
Yep, heat pumps seem to be pretty oversold as well for example. Solar panels I can see the sense of to an extent but we have a South facing roof and they still don't seem to add up financially unless you have some pretty pessimistic assumptions regarding fossil fuel costs.

Do EVs make sense to you?
I've just seen an article about what is supposedly the smallest car VAG will make in the future, about the size of an Up! but 22k+! Unless there's a massive reduction in the cost, maybe we buy them all from China, I just cannot see a viable market for them. At some stage as well most if not all of t...

Re: Stupid questions about motorised conveyances
Believe it or not Skoda Roomster 1.6 diesel, 55mpg+, lots of space and a non Nurburgring ride. We've done a few 300 mile trips in ours and it cruises nicely at an indicated 85 or so. Second would be a 2 litre diesel Galaxy, we did a lot of long trips in ours as it was the Uni Shuttlebus although I s...

Re: EBay Finds
There seems to be a lot of it about today, clicked on a £10,000 911 earlier , seller had about 30 VW vans, motor homes etc for about 75% of normal prices. Not sure how they make money, is it just holding deposits from the gullible? I imagine so unless it's trying to give the impression of being a b...

I think slightest is a bit of an understatement for that creature.

Re: What did you do today?
Took the Minor to Beaulieu to meet the grandkids on their annual Easter-down-South weekend. Haven't been to the Museum for ages and kind of lost touch with it. There have been some changes, mostly not for the better but they have cleared the Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang shit out of the Tucker garage so ...

I'm not certain that this is in the right category but so what. I was just watching Iron Maiden's "The Trooper" video and it reminded me that their drummer had commissioned this: xj6nickomcbrain3.jpg https://media.jaguar.com/news/2018/03/jaguar-creates-unique-greatest-hits-xj-iron-maiden-d...
