Re: Drum's motorised conveyances
Keep at it mate. Can you not fall back on the old Austin for your transport? Cheers! The maestro is probably the best bet for the daily commute as the allegro needs a new starter motor. It disengages as soon as the car fires so takes about 20 attempts before the engine catches. I tried extending th...

Re: Drum's motorised conveyances
Would it be "simpler" just to pull the engine and box as one from the olds? Does the front panel remove so you can pull it out forwards rather than at a silly angle? That has been considered and was rejected, but who knows what will happen next. One more session at trying to remove stuff ...

Re: Drum's motorised conveyances
Good luck hope it doesn't put up a fight. I can't begin to describe how fucking awkward the Olds is being. The exhaust manifold bolts are practically inaccessible from below. Re: Drum's motorised conveyances
Had the gents round this evening for a cup of tea and a look at the Olds. Five of them with a combined age of at least 360 years. One brought a diesel compression tester, but they knew what was wrong as soon as they heard it run. Blown head gasket between two cylinders. The tester confirmed it was b...

Re: The autojumble, or, I should've stayed in bed, thread.
I'm a sucker for an autojumble and also an auction. In fact, mostly an auction. Always chasing a bargain of something I don't need.
It's so bad, I'm going to try and get rid of some of it at an autojumble this year.
