I briefly owned a predator and nearly bought a senda but not sure if being talked out of it was a good or bad idea.

Re: Scooter for a 16 year old

The C90 was the chosen steed for men into Dungeon's and Dragons who live with their mum and have a suspect internet browsing history. My mum died in 1995 so her internet history wasn't much of an issue. She had an honda city express and upgraded to a blue late 80s 12v c90. Wasn't the City Express a...

Re: Scooter for a 16 year old

Any step through was out of the question too. I always had a soft spot for the honda c90 as me mam had one. I have had 2 and now have an Innova. My zip 50 did a good 50+ when derestricted,Yamaha BWS 50 did around 45,Suzuki katana was on its arse at 55 and the derbi predator did an indicated 60 but it was a derbi so probably 45-50. My firs...

Re: Scooter for a 16 year old

If anyone does ride a moped on those rights without L-plates. If they then take their CBT to ride a 125 do they have to start displaying the L-pates on the 50cc too? I've never CBT'd a punter so he can ride a 50 in a car licence. Maybe he had a 125 for 2 years then didn't bother and went to a 50. W...

I don't know how it works fully but there's perhaps a way around?

From how I understand it,upon completion of a CBT with full car licence you can ride a 50 without L plates and carry pillions effecti...

Re: Scooter for a 16 year old

I don't think so. Unless they made a new rule recently. Old mopeds are UK national cat 'p' 30mph which is different to EU-wide cat 'AM', which is 45km/h and other jazz. It's close, but not exactly the same. Maybe that's where it's coming from, rather than the gears themselves. I do know the c50 sem...
