Re: What did you do today?

I actually did something! I received the new wheel bolts for the Jag yesterday so I charged up the impact driver that I have had for years and never used and went out and changed one wheel bolt! It was a struggle to be honest as the old one was mullared and I had to come inside and find an 18mm sock...

Re: What do you keep in your car "just in case "?

In the Merc I have a spare wheel (spacesaver though) a jack and wheel brace, tyre inflator, battery jump pack, jump leads, a bag full of tennis balls, bottle of water and a bowl for dogs to drink from, a bag full of cloths, polish, touch up pens, rubber lube (Gummi Pflege) polish for the inside, pol...

Strangely, I've never liked flared arches on MK2's or Wolfrace wheels for that matter. Coombes arches and wider spoked wheels, yes indeed!

Re: Stupid questions about motorised conveyances

A question for the more able-minded... at the service the garage reckoned that the brake fluid is '-1%. What does that mean? Fucked? If so I am a tiny bit more pissed off as it had a brake fluid change at the last service done by Central Garage, so just on a year ago.

My piss artist mother used to drive with a glass of scotch and dry ginger on the centre console. She took drinking and driving to a whole new level!

Re: 1951 Pontiac Chieftain

with the price of fuel in the USA being so much less than we have to suffer, is that the best you can do, under a quarter full. I despair, you must look after MY car better!

Re: What did you do today?

Swapped cars, I like driving the Merc, it is still a pleasant place to be... and the sun was out so, roof off naturally. A lady I know (vaguely) was taking the mickey out of the car and how were two big(ish) dogs going to fit in the tiny little thing?

The answer? Really rather well thank you!

Re: What did you do today?

I had several 116's. a 280, 35-, 450 and 450 6.9! I loved them until I changed my allegiance to 126's which are a better car. My 280 was lovely the others, all seemed to like a touch of rust here and there (everywhere) and one of the 450s was a complete nightmare of rust under the factory-fitted bit...

I didn't realise he was doing a mileage run, I thought he was looking for the best place to have an accident.
