Re: Are you still a car enthusiast?

I never spend more than £1500 to buy one and stopped getting attached to them which means it's easy to move one on. That doesn't apply to me. Excluding this Mercedes and the previous Mercedes, I was running about in a £300.01 Rover 620 SLi auto. I utterly loved it and became way too precious. The M...

Re: Autoshiteboy's German shenanigans

I've used this car ONCE for work. I've not even driven it to Lidl. Its now got a very low speed misfire when you go to pull away. SICK.

Re: Are you still a car enthusiast?

Yes, I'm still a car obsessive. Really obsessed. But this life long, utter against-the-odds obsession is diminishing for several reasons. 1) Current cars leave me cold. I've no interest in the vast majority of consumer durables out there. I think on one hand I can count the cars I'm interested in wh...

They were ok when newer but Fiats of that era were poor long term propositions. Later stuff is pretty good. I’m running an 09 100HP Panda atm - not my sort of car but I’m impressed with how durable it is and how easy it is to work on. Rear dampers take 15 minutes a side to change and the fronts onl...

Re: Pug 107, citroen relay and '54 tt quattro

You really need a Mk2 Cortina to bomb up and down Newcastle multi story car parks. Did you find Alf Roberts from Coronation Street and chuck him off? I once recreated that in a Rover 420 (HHR, T-series). Even throwing someone off? No. The caretaker was a nice old man who drove a Metro Rio 1.1

Re: Pug 107, citroen relay and '54 tt quattro

It had a work out today in Newcastle city centre. Up and down two 14 storey carparks looking for a space. I felt the revs fluctuate a couple of times while idling. I presume that was the fan cutting in. You really need a Mk2 Cortina to bomb up and down Newcastle multi story car parks. Did you find ...
