Replaced the melted wire this morning. Looking at the corrosion on the exposed copper it looks like it happened a long time ago. I hope so anyway.

These seem to be cheap as chips at the moment. I am seriously considering getting one before spring. I like the fact that it’s got the hard top rather than being a dyed in the wool sort top convertible. Time and finances will tell.

Had to whack a new battery on the Defender today. I tried to start it this morning and the old battery died off pretty quickly. Luckily we have a few spare batteries at work from a recently retired platform so I borrowed one of those.

The MAP sensor on mine malfunctioned due to all the shit in the inlet manifold. I removed the EGR with a kit and replaced the sensor and things improved after that.
