The headlight peaks are awful, but that interior is fucking amazing!
The grot all around the, well, everything, is kind of concerning. As is the sunroof.

Re: Sub Par Cars
That's a good shout. If I had epoxy or another bit of metal. It's a good idea though, and one that warrants further investigation, perhaps when I'm next at the parents' farm. In other news my fancy powerflex gearbox mount just arrived. That should rid the car of the drivetrain shunt when changing ge...

Re: Sub Par Cars
Fucking Saab and its fucking door handles. A couple of months back I disassembled most of the driver's door, including taking the exterior handle off, in order to tweak a metal tab inside the mechanism so that the exterior handle worked properly. What's it gone and bloody done? Bent back again, so t...

Re: Sub Par Cars
BMW 316i oil and filter changed, and it got a wash. No photos taken, sorry. I also washed the parents' C3 Picasso and Kia Sorrento as I had the pressure washer out, and they badly needed it. The Land Rover has taken a couple of steps back, as somehow dad had got the timing 120 degrees out! Rocker co...

Re: Crash! Bang! Wallop!
Aye, we used to do that too....Mainly on aesthetic grounds, particularly CB250s which had ludicrous tombstones with the dealer's full address and directions to the shop. Can't say I ever digit-robbed them but I did once have one plate between 3 Honda 50s..... A colleague at an old job used to race ...

Re: How do I wire a 24v starter into a 12 v system?
I'm with you both on the demise of the beige. I still hang around there only for the ebay thread and the low cost big liability thread in the modern section (that's always a source of a good few laughs, and none of the howling virtue-signallers seem to hang around that section). I've updated my own ...

Re: Sub Par Cars
The Saab got some love yesterday. I sprayed lubricant down the throttle cable from the engine bay end, and then all over the return spring on the throttle body. I should have done it months ago, what a difference! The pedal has always been quite stiff, even giving my foot mild cramp when holding a s...

Re: How do I wire a 24v starter into a 12 v system?
Not this old chestnut again... I just want more info on that utterly horrible looking motorhome! It looks brilliant! A diesel, too? Even better. It even looks like a V8 from the engine bay shot. Is it really that GM diesel V8? Amazing. If it is that engine, drum has one of them but in a car. He may ...
