Re: Cars you hated and hope not to see again
I'll never have a bad word said against the Laguna II. They are fantastic cars. Which other manufacturer would put a talking computer in (as a cost-option) to specifically tell you there was a problem with the car? Re: Cars you have yet to love or hope to love again.
I've never owned anything with significantly less than 100hp, You got me thinking...I've only in recent years bought a car with over 100hp and that was the 2.0 litre 306 cabrio. Everything else has been less, often way less. Only exception I can think of was a Volvo 240 estate hand-me-down that had...

Re: Cars you hated and hope not to see again
As alluded to in the other thread. First, I owned a 1999 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro Sport from 2014-2016. I really fucking regret selling its predecessor, which was a 2001 Peugeot 306 HDi estate with a stage 1 map. The 306 ran on thin air, and handled & rode beautifully. The Audi, however, had granite...

Re: Cars you have yet to love or hope to love again.
51 here as well and my list used to be huge. Now not so much. I’ve learned that you can have too much power in a car making it no fun at normal speeds or worse, undrivable if you put your foot down. I'm only 33 and already coming round to that opinion. I've never owned anything with significantly l...

Re: Cars you have yet to love or hope to love again.
Somewhat realistic: A 6-pot E36 3 series. I had a 320i auto for a year, it was cosmetically fucked but lovely to drive. Unrealistic: A series land rover. Drove around in an utterly hanging series 3 when I was 17, great fun. Totally out there: A 1970s/80s Porsche 911. Hardtop, non-turbo, no silly spo...

Re: Crash! Bang! Wallop!
Look at the colour of that Citigo! Wow!
I bet that blinded the Fiat 500 driver and caused the crash.
A part of me wants another stupid-coloured car at some point...

Re: Crash! Bang! Wallop!
The bloody state of that front number plate when it was still liveried up! Disgraceful.

Re: Sub Par Cars
Aye, I knew what I was in for before I started. It's better than having the whole fucking engine and gearbox rocking around though! It's always been a slightly rattly old car anyway, so it doesn't detract from (or add to) its character. It just feels at home amongst all the other rattles and squeaks...

Re: Sub Par Cars
Why not a standard bush? Or can't you get them now? Powerflex one was cheaper, easier to get hold of, and also much easier to fit, as it comes in two pieces. You just put some assembly grease on (supplied in a little sachet with the bush) and push it in by hand, instead of having to faff about with...

Re: Sub Par Cars
Yesterday, I got rid of a lot of slop in the Saab's drivetrain through the advent of a Powerflex Heritage gearbox mount. First, you take out the wheel arch liner, then unbolt the gearbox mount and jack the whole lot up: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/729498177782415360/838028926525112350/IMG...
