I did look at this when I checked the engine over prior to starting to use it but will certainly re visit it. Good one.

Is it that engine torque stay at the back of the cylinder head? This broke on my Minor causing a horrid intermittant rattle. Pinking / distributor advance problem? Doesn't sound like pinking but easy to retard it a bit and see. I haven't touched the engine, it just went fine until I explored the up...

I've got a proper old fashioned problem on the Minor. There's a rattle from the engine starts at about 40 and gets worse if you keep it under load as you go faster.
