The work well enough, they are about as good as it got 30 years ago, I certainly don't find them dangerous, just not up to modern standards.
I shall be taking an R1 down to Sussex on monday, the brakes on that are incredible, I would like somewhere near that standard.

I have a new tyre fitted to the front of VFR, the whole bike has been given a clean and has come up remarkably well considering it hasn't really been cleaned in the last ten thousand miles. I was driving along in the late nineties one night in my Mum's mk4 escort and I lost all drive. Got it towed to a friend of a friends garage and the gearbox was pronounced scrap. Trafic is still off the road.We have ordered a new seal kit for the master cylinder, but there is one large seal on the top which is knackered, we can't find a new one, it seems integrated into the body of the cylinder. I cannot seem to post a photo, every time I click on photo icon all that happens...
