Re: Austin A70 Hampshire - back on the road!
Old bloody cars indeed. At least yours works, last Sunday my Impala's engine decided it didn't want to proceed in a seemly manner so it's off the road now until I can get it off to a reputable engine doctor. And I'm still waiting for my Anglia to go down south to my friend's workshop to be recommiss...

Re: Wobland Spottage
Years ago we fitted a droop snoot Firenza front end to an HB estate, it looked pretty good. HB Vivas were once my choice of cheap runabouts, I think the most expensive was 65 quid. None of them gave me any grief. Also had an FD estate, bit pricey at 100 quid, that served me faithfully for 2-3 years ...

Re: What did you do today?
Yesterday I took the Impala to its first show of the year in a small village, no problem getting there. And then it was time to go home, what could possibly go wrong? Oh. https://i.postimg.cc/02y9Nkk9/IMG-1234.jpg Bollocks. https://i.postimg.cc/hGPYLjYG/IMG-1235.jpg Left the show and as I accelerate...

Re: Found pics
^^^Quite an abundance of the Mk2 & 3 big Fords there, at least four of each. They were splendid cars.

Re: Wobland Spottage
^^^By the Co-Op where the Impala once ventured into their car park so I could buy some groceries. I of course parked in the middle of two spaces. Like a cunt. Got tutted at by a middle aged couple in a manky Fiesta for doing so. Please note that we were the only two cars there so I wasn't stealing s...

Re: Wobland Spottage
We are only talking inches here....half a dozen or so in the random case of 1965 Bonneville/Parisienne. Year models also differ as you know - often quite considerably. Parisienne and Bonneville are just nameplates so it is difficult to compare like for like. Yeah I think it's generally about six in...

Re: Wobland Spottage
Think the red one was an impala, didn't get a better photo with folks in the way. 1960 Impala, same underpinnings as my 59. I bought a solid rolling shell 60 Impala 2-door hardtop for 50 quid back in 1986, the Swedes bought it for 550 quid so it's probably been restored and is cruising about over t...

Re: Wobland Spottage
Splendid photos there hugger with some mighty fine machinery. That Datsun 120Y reminded me of my late father who bought the lurid orange version brand new, KGW732P I think. I refused to be seen in it for quite a while. I felt sorry for that poor Humber with all that crap on it, also the Fury estate ...

Re: Austin A70 Hampshire - back on the road!
I had thought about going to Stickney but completely forgot about it. Instead I went to the village of Moulton Chapel where they were having their annual fete/carnival/parade etc. Not a huge event but nice and cheerful with a few classic cars, off the top of my head me in the Impala, '78 25th Annive...
