Not an expert but fairly sure that was standard at the time. Google shows a lot of them with it fitted although mostly in Australia.

Re: Disco 3 and me

As usual, quite a bit of the “information” in the mag is bollocks

Re: Disco 3 and me

This month’s LRM has an 04 reg disco that was the 271st made - making yours a very very early one.
The one featured in the mag is a pre-production car.

Re: Disco 3 and me

Just noticed this - had a D3 for a few years. When my intercooler hose split (and they all do sooner or later) it made a lot of smoke and not much power - but no fault codes. Also mine is starting to show signs of the EGR valves needing doing again - sluggish (no fault code) some mornings (much like...

Re: What did you do today?

Re: Custom LED indicators

Red flashers are only permissible on very early vehicles im sure the cut off date is way before the AMC. Pre 1965 IIRC, AMC is 1968. It is MOT exempt though so in the unlikely event an MOT person knew to fail it I am not at risk of that. I am interested in keeping it legal and safe though - as othe...

Re: Custom LED indicators

When it was new they retro fitted some long thin units with festoon bulbs but they are long gone - I have one left out of 4 for 2 cars. I have some similar units to the mini one surface mounted at the moment but they look flipping awful and they aren't even that effective.

Re: Custom LED indicators

The reversing lights are sadly mounted fairly centrally in the rear bumper - otherwise it'd be a no brainier as the lamp units are the same as the indicators in the front bumper.
