1000 miles regrease interval seems a bit much, can you fit a one shot type system with a pump in the cab like you would have fitted on older wagons etc, hoses run to each nipple and apply a dollop whenever the handle is squeezed?

Would it be "simpler" just to pull the engine and box as one from the olds? Does the front panel remove so you can pull it out forwards rather than at a silly angle?

Ladas were alright (in a crude unrefined heavy to drive sort of way) probably wouldn't go out of my way to own one now though.
