You might be amazed to find at the lack of volunteers to undertake bike training in the police, NCA, etc., etc. So an empty space on a course is expensive, and if the only one that wants to do it is a special, then so be it.

But yes, specials do tend to be pricks of the highest order.

Due to covid my trips to MotoGPs in Austin and to Sepang in 2020 were cancelled. We got our airfares refunded for the Indonesia trip, but British Airways gave us vouchers. Its a right bastard here Eddie. Have an accident and they find you have modified your car but not had it inspected and put on your vehicle record, you can be in serious trouble. A few of the young locals have modified cars, with different wheels, body kits, suspension, exhausts, etc. Must cost them ...
