Re: What did you do today?

Yeap these were the ones that were sold off recently for next to no money. I believe they were owned by a funeral director who kept all his older vehicles and when he passed away the company sold off the collection to a dealer. A few were saved and all were in very saveable condition. All were runne...

Re: What did you do today?

If you have the air con on it might cancel the stop start as it needs the engine running for the compressor. They may well of changed this though as they always have to "improve" things

Re: Found pics

Interesting I wonder if any survived. It looks a bit small for a double decker with bearer seats though. After a bit of googling it appears there are plenty of pictures of 1/43 scale models but none of a surviving slough built hearse. There only seems to be the pictures from the original adverts for...

Re: What did you do today?

I saw a similar haul on the A34 northbound yesterday - 4 Jag X300 limos ratchet-strapped 2 high to a trailer..... These belonged to a funeral director who passed away and were sold off. They went for 2-300 each ! A couple of hearses and limo's were saved but the rest went to a banger racer apparent...

Re: EBay Finds

That doesn't look too bad except the wheels are horrid. I quite fancy an Arnage as they are supposed to be a decent drive but no budget for one at the moment.

Re: I seem to of done something stupid yet again

Is your recovery truck behaving now? No still not right but as I don't use it very often I haven't tried too hard to fix it. When I next get a bit of free time I will pull the injectors out again as that is the only thing I think it can be. It was better after I had them tested and one overhauled s...

Re: I seem to of done something stupid yet again

Sorted out the correct wheels for the turbo and had them powder coated. A new set of Avon's as well just to push the boat out. It is now off to the bodyshop to have the roof and a few other panels sorted. It really needs a full respray but for now I will do the bits that need doing before the new wi...
