It looks fantastic!
Are they as slow to drive as they were in the original Grand Theft Auto??!!!!!!
They've never really appealed to me; I love the fact that they exist (and in lovely condition like this) but I'm not sure I'd have been able to resist it either.
Well in!

Re: The Crappy Hamper Thread
Much as I would love that Bristol, or something similar, I have to unfortunately exist in the meagre slice of the real world that I have been able to afford lordship over. I don't think it will be very much money at all. His greatest concern is finding someone who will love it as much as he does.

Escort is fab. Shite, but fab. What it's SUPPOSED to be all about.

Re: The Crappy Hamper Thread
I made a small compromise last month and bought a T4 Caravelle. I like being by the sea; I lived there for the first 21 years of my life. My parents still live approximately 1000m from it. What I wanted was a mobile beach hut (I've never understood spending £15k on a shed that's in the same place) s...

Re: What Car?
Having given it quite a bit of consideration, I'd go for one of the facelift T25 Avensis I reckon. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Avensis-2-0-VVT-I-T4-4dr-PETROL-MANUAL-2006-06/383601690436?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D7e867af2934e4823857a799e6...

Re: What Car?
Simultaneously an enviable and difficult position to be in. Conflicting! If I was going to spend £3-4K, which I always consider to be “risky” money (in as much as you’re invested in it) I’d immediately say a Toyota. But if you need something you can truly love, then that’s a bit harder. As long as y...

Well done on getting it done and back together, re it sounding possibly a bit Cammy - Did you run the cam in when you first started it? There's normally a list of things to do to break it in. Mine needed the valve clearances re setting after, 500 miles. IME Number 3 exhaust will always require adju...

Never ever take a car off the road. Ever. Whilst, admittedly, we live in turbulent times - I’ve lost three jobs and we’ve changed prime minister since the bASe last turned a wheel in dismal anger. I know better than most that life can get in the way. Please learn from my error - take out an overdraf...
