Re: Ancient LR musings

Six in shot, one behind me, one on the drive and another two incoming this week. Not to mention the actual runners (that's another three). Do I own Land-Rovers or do Land-Rovers own me?

Re: Ancient LR musings

There's a (very quiet) forum for one tons which you'll want to have a read of. https://www.900club.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=7 I've spent quite a lot of time on here the past few weeks, particularly on the Super Heterosexual wheels thread. The wheels fitted to my new one look to be King Shit of ...

Re: Ancient LR musings

I think all of them had the lower geared box like your TACRs, and the ENV axles only had one ratio - 4.7:1 like a standard Rover axle. It remains to be seen whether this has an entire 1-Ton driveline or a standard Series gearbox / transfer box. Guessing your 109 is on standard Series gearbox / trans...

Re: Ancient LR musings

The series 2 club would be working themselves into a lather about your '59. They have a register of them. They also like to scrutinise every detail to see if it's genuine. Yours looks like it has the bolt on vents which is a good sign along with the light bezels and flat apron. They are surprisingl...

Ancient LR musings

Dunno if you lot will like this but in the spirit of making an effort with this forum I will post a few of our latest goings-on. A few weeks ago my old man acquired a real treasure - a one-owner from new Series IIA 109 from a local coal yard. It was in service from 1964-1991 until it was put out to ...

Re: What did you do today?

Theres a good chance that'll get a cat write off marked against it for that damage if it's gone into the body. :( You should have seen what the last bloke did to the rear arch! Weirdly because it's on a classic policy the girl on the phone basically said to me that they won't write it off unless it...

Re: What did you do today?

Theres a wee dent by the "P" in the script decal, but I think the bumper took the brunt of it.

I'm not mega worried about the damage it's just the FUCKING HASSLE of insurance I can't be fucked with.
