The alternator died, odd symptom of not going above idle. Luckily I live somewhere flat ish with sod all traffic. Made it home on at tickover (35MPH)...

I spent a fun afternoon trying to remove the alternator pully from the C6. I think I've got the correct sealey sx400 tool ,but no dice,the t50 bit is too loose and the m10 bit won't fit.
