Re: Re:Another Hideous Yank

At long last all of the Eldorado bits have arrived. The normally excellent FedEx managed to loose it in Germany for a few days, then it was sent on a tour of Normandy. Despite me giving them idiot proof directions. IMG_20230427_172728.jpg I've fitted the simple stuff. Saturday I'm taking it to a mat...

Re: Re:Another Hideous Yank

Things are happening with the Cadillac 😁 Registration comformaty has been obtained and documents uploaded to ANTS. That's the frog version of DVLA. Still waiting to here from them... They're no better than DVLA 🙄 Caddy has had a CT (mot) and only failed on headlight aim and tyres. Big long list of a...

Re: Re:Another Hideous Yank

Funny you say that...
This Cadillac is Japanese market.
As far as I know the only difference is tail lights, head lights and the radio. Oh, and Japanese stickers under the bonnet.

Re:Another Hideous Yank

The Buick is still working... except for central locking and interior lights flattening the battery. Pulled the fuse for now. Never lock it anyway... I'll look into it after I've finished tinkering with my latest toy. cad2e.jpg cad1e.jpg cad5e.jpg Eincar.jpg Just getting it ready for the Controle Te...

Re: Hideous Yank

Buick has had a slight hiccup 😑 Nothing serious, just the ignition lock barrel playing up. New one was 18 dollars from Rockauto. Ordered Sunday evening arrived Thursday morning 😁 Shouldn't take long to fit right ? First hurdle was getting the steering wheel off, so I cobbled together a puller out of...

My Buick continues to work 😁
With fuel at 2.22 euros a litre I suppose I should be using the C15 more.
But feck it, road trip to a car show today...

They're rare over here too.
It's not on my insurance companies data base...
It's now on my classic policy after I provided photos and links to Durisotti.

C6 Replacement. No luxury or wafting

I'm keeping it simple this time. This thing is as complicated as a knife and fork... IMG_20220304_171505.jpg IMG_20220304_170138.jpg A C15 pick up by Durisotti. It used to belong to a friend of mine, took a few years to get my mits on it. Just needed a rear beam, bumper and a few bits of welding. Wo...
