Re: Is it important for a car to have poke?

This is too old to be a mini engine I think. I count 4 leads so definitely the low power 2.0 that preceded all this low capacity high power malarkey. Not a bad motor at all providing you’re never in a hurry.

Re: Wobland Spottage

One from A14 last Sunday. Didn’t like the crawl past breakdowns and roadworks.

Re: Is it important for a car to have poke?

Topical for me at the mo. My 7 speed 460 ft-lb diesel is a relaxing thing to cruise in but has reserves of grunt that can deal with most situations. I get better mpg in Sport mode so progress is a micro-ankle movement away. It is in the shop having a new front suspension fitted (airmatic- just say n...

Re: What did you do today?

I actually left the county today. The furthest I’ve driven for about 12 months. Seeing the old crate on my folks’ driveway for the first time since 2019! 146DBDF6-BCF2-4C0C-B9EB-E4D4D3CEE27F.jpeg I was really looking forward to seeing what the ‘new’ A14/A1 stretch was like - turned out to be just a ...

Re: Cars That Exceeded Your Expectations

Peugeot 405 1.6GL. Had it while my GTXi was gone and the STDT still hadn’t arrived. I loved that thing. Such fun to drive. The other was my Scorpio 2.9 12v estate. Expected an ocean liner but surprised me how effortless could also be pleasurable. Great Wall Deer XLWB on treacherous mountain roads wr...

Re: Found pics

It’s a crappy low res picture on Rightmove for a house I thought I might like the look of. Tempted to view just to see what it is. I think it may be an optical illusion - a car, and some panels all being unconnected.
