Re: What did you do today?

We are on a power site but we're warned people are getting through 10 pounds of electric per night using the electric heater and you pay for how much you use. Luckily I've just tried the gas fire and it works fine. I am on a few caravan groups on Facebastard - some twat always comes on to ask what ...

Re: 2003 Mercedes E320 CDI Estate - It was fun while it lasted

Just remove the bumper and get the job finished properly. You're this far and put some money into it. Not worth it for the sake of a half hour or so removing a bumper. Modern cars are usually pretty easy to remove bumpers as they're bendy plastic and need to be removed for a lot of jobs. I've done ...

Re: 2003 Mercedes E320 CDI Estate - It was fun while it lasted

To go against the grain, was there much oil in the pipework. If not don't bother. It will smoke like a bastard anyway with all the oil in the exhaust. If it has a dpf and it is easy to remove then a wash out would be useful. I did get told off by plod once though for taking one up the road after a ...

Re: 2003 Mercedes E320 CDI Estate - new turbo insert fitted

The oil drain pipe can be moved around as long as the mounting bolts aren't too tight. I figured this out myself, thinking it would make sense when refitting. I was pleased with myself when the HBOL turned out to have this wisdom included in the refitting instructions. Now debating whether to go to ...

Re: 2003 Mercedes E320 CDI Estate - It was fun while it lasted

IMG_7810.jpeg Some progress made - bolting the new insert to the exhaust side was easy after I had mucked around with the wastegate vanes to make sure they were all moving freely. There's a little peg to ensure you put in the right place. The induction side is a bit more tricky as there's no guidan...

Re: Leboncoin

I got kicked off trademe the NZ version for being a Pom- they said it was due to the high number of scamming cunts (not their exact words) originating in the UK.
We really need to clean up our act as a nation, there are just so many thieves and scammers here.

Re: 2003 Mercedes E320 CDI Estate - It was fun while it lasted

Replacement arrived a couple of days ago and interestingly the vanes are the same - I thought to look at them there were some bits missing, but it seems they are supposed to be like that. Now just need to get fucking Christmas oot the way so I can get in the garage and rebuild the fucker. IMG_7777.j...
