Possibly more likely to die too? I was told that it's cheaper for insurance companies if people die rather than survive but with severe life long injuries. At this age I can't imagine parts will be a factor as even the lightest bump will write it off once labour costs and hire car costs are involve...

Pretty much everything runs on it, runs well or doesn't destroy fuel lines is another matter.
The Maverick runs much better on super than E10, found out by filing with the expensive stuff by mistake.
