The only time I've used mine is when setting the base idle.

Never mind all this aspirational capitalist nonsense, what you need is a Hillman Impski! https://www.ooyyo.com/bulgaria/c=CDA31D7114D2854F111B876FBA68345938A31D7116C4874111/1159537302331566786.html/ I can't extract pics from the ad, sorry. But click on it, it's worth it. Here's a pic of this model ...

Re: For 504 lickers

Does that say LD as the spec? It will be. The GL and TI had a different interior to this car including, somewhat bizarrely, a completely different dashboard. The GL and TI had a much more upmarket affair with round dials and a particularly attractive treatment of the glovebox area. The TI even had ...

Re: Best ever real world car?

Apart from rust, electrical issues, brutal thirst and being too long to park anywhere, XJ40s are great everyday cars.

That may be an X300 thing - I feel perched on the seats not sitting in them for some strange reason.

You'd have to make a big effort to get the proportions as wrongs as this. 23.000 quids worth of wank.
Vintage-style kit cars are always a poor effort, but that one is spectacularly grim.

The electric seats don't go as low which limits head room and for me utterly ruins the driving position. Jag had sorted this by the X308 though. Ha - the very thing I was complaining ...
