Re: Sub Par Cars - 323 + 205 = 528
The last good Peugeot was the 306. Start there and work backwards.

Re: What's Your Worst Experience With A Garage Or Main Dealer?
off-road experience day That's now been replaced by The Land Rover Experience. They basically drive onto a motorway, park on the hard shoulder, disable it and leave you there for three hours until a recovery truck pulls up. I had to laugh at a breakdown story in last month's CAR mag with some curre...

Re: What did you do today?
I would of stuck with the Skoda and spent the money on the classics. Those Passats really went to shit in the mid noughties. My dad had an '06 for about a year and it was no end of trouble, I was so glad when he got shot of it and bought a Honda. The transverse engined B5 Passats from 2005 are dogs...

2005/6 will have the chain driven balance shaft set up and the shorter oil pump hex drive. Later ones had gear driven b/shafts and a longer hex drive but were still not very good. VAG 'engineering' at its best. I've always got 2 or 3 B6/B7 A4 gloveboxes in. Broken hinges are common but there a...

I would use LOB's identity as well. It's not strictly legal but by transferring the running gear, some trim and panels over, it'll not be a ringer as such.
LOB then lives on. No farting about with NOVA or registering it.

Re: Have You Ever Owned A Famous Or Former Celeb Owned Car?
I bought a white 635CSi in 1995 that was owned new by Tom Jones, an absolute minter.
20 years ago I bought an 840Ci from Sytner Coventry - the one previous owner was Jim Bowen.
So fuck you all.

The 306 was the last good Peugeot, hence current values.

I assume the good Reverend refers to the Mk IV as finishing with Silver Fox. The only metallics (an opalescent, rather than the same compound as these later paints) on Mk IIIs were Alcuda Blue and Malibu Gold. There were definitely silver Escorts, Capris and Cortinas into 1972. Pete C (Cortina City...
