Broke down yesterday. Car refused to do 55, fuel starvation. Had just fueled up, got about ten miles and it started to splutter. Pulled the fuel filter off and it was blocked solid with refinery sand. Removed the filter and replaced it with a barbed fitting in the AutoZone parking lot and that fixed...

The factory gaps there are utterly shit and got worse as the tooling wore out. You've made it better than they did new. That gap was just filled heavily and painted.

The car was stroppy today and didn't want to run. I adjusted the auto choke and it started up but I think it needed fuel.
Also, randomly today, as I was driving, the speedometer quit working. That's great.

Average annual low/high is 45/95f (7/35c) with spikes of hot and cold, down to about -5c and as high as 40c.
This recent cold weather is transient, it blew in from up north. Today is 19c.
