Re: Stupid questions about motorised conveyances
The thing is what's the difference between having your phone in a cradle and a, searching for the next track you want to listen too, or b, writing a text. They'll just do you for not being in safe control, I know this for a fact as my mate was done for it. It might be legal to touch a phone in a cra...

Re: Stupid questions about motorised conveyances
So what about these new cameras that apparently can see you using a phone? You might not get prosecuted for just touching the phone in a cradle but I do know someone they prosecuted for not being in safe control of a vehicle, can't remember the exact offence name. It's the same one they use if they ...

Re: Stupid questions about motorised conveyances
I've got a similar pioneer head unit which does all that. But, it's the whole touching phone whilst driving thing what worries me. With the Gestapo you tend to be guilty full stop regardless of what you're using the phone for. Hence why I like a display I could mount higher on the dashboard which in...

Re: What did you do today?
Finished the velosolex 1010. Just waiting on a couple of springs to turn up then can fire it up. Had the engine firing up on the petrol by pouring 2 stroke mix down the carb so I know it should run. The previous owner who painted the frame did a shit job as it marks really easily and looks like no p...

The trouble with Google is you have to know what you're actually asking for. The great thing about this forum is it has its own form of Google, the eddiehondaville.

Re: Stupid questions about motorised conveyances
Thanks Eddie. The first one is a no no as there isn't clearance for the screen to fold out. The last one looks good though, plus I could use it in any car with a Bluetooth stereo by the looks of it. I'd best start doing more surveys to earn some Amazon vouchers!

Re: Stupid questions about motorised conveyances
Just stick a Bluetooth head unit in and control everything off your phone in a decent holder with your phone in car mode. There's a decent Bluetooth stereo in all of them but I can only play music from my phone then. Then there's the whole thing about using your phone whilst driving. Plus I can't r...

Re: Stupid questions about motorised conveyances
Stupid question, and I'm guessing the answer is no. Radio placement in the C15, bx and especially the cx is crap. Plus they seem to be at just the focal length where I struggle to read the display. Is it possible to get a head unit that fits in the standard din E hole but the display can be put remo...

Re: Hanging WBoD Shitheap Made by Hitler Acquired
Still love my old French chat but rarely post anything on them anymore. Plus having only 300 quid a month to one's self after paying the mortgage means I'm mainly living on toast so no money to buy more tat.....other than the odd vintage moped I've raided the savings for.
