I'm only going to be there for an hour or so max. Certainly not displaying as no doubt required to stay put for a few hours.

Re: What did you do today?
It was our wedding anniversary yesterday. So I snow jizzed the Boxster. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230529/9aa19a5c3908419ce674a31c7419d1b1.jpg Then both went out to see a big house (Kingston Lacey near Poole) https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230529/3a51147bcfc687ed56d0e759235a0c84.jpg http...

Re: I Never Thought I'd See The Day Lotus Made This
Lotus is just a consultancy company with a car company attached to the side of it.
It's horrible but if it makes them money and them to continue experimenting with building sports cars, then so be it.

Re: EBay Finds
Mine has made me walk (well use another car) lately....Bit mystified by that one, though...Mine has an alarm/immobiliser but it is no way linked to the ignition key which is a plain, black plastic-topped job just like a 1970s Fiesta, nothing in it at all. The LHS is the top level of the New Yorker ...

Just chuck it on a Ctek when you're not using it.
It's old electronics that has modules that don't shut off on the key and aren't particularly power efficient due to the technology. Does it have an alarm? That's a likely candidate.
Also make sure the boot and glove box lights are off when shut.

Chop chop then, you're running out of time! ;) I reckon the smokey engine would clear a bit once off on a run - sticky rings? Springs didn't look any flatter than my BGT and the dampers probably just need filling back up with damper oil. Rust didn't look terrible - no worse than my Midget that was o...

Re: 1979 Trouble Spitfire
That and those bimetallic gauges have a +-5° variance of accuracy when new so that's about right. Looking behind the dash, it looks to be still on the electro-mechanical regulator too. Gauges aren't moving after starting though, which suggests it is doing some regulating. Not going to touch the reg...

Did a quick check with MGB hive. It is cheaper but not massively. Also can't pick it up same day which is incredibly handy to have. If Moss will honour the pair price in the calipers, then it's a less than £20 difference. Screenshot_20230527-091222.png Screenshot_20230527-091240.png Then just tyres!...

20230526_123509.jpg No, these have most decidedly stopped working 20230526_172713.jpg It runs and drives again. Phone up a classic insurer, pop down to the PO with the V5 to convert to historic class and then go for a proper drive! ;) Calipers are in stock individually but not apparently as a pair....
