A wee question of a biking nature; I have a nice pair of cordura motorcycling trousers here, a bargain at £20, which fit spot on. The only slight annoyance is I find them a bit slippy on the saddle. Is there anything I could do to make the seat of said trousers less slippy?

Used to be the case you'd hack it all up and plonk it inside a wreck you were towing to the yard. Throw as much other tat in there as possible. Last time I around I towed a Ka to the local scrappy, 2012 ish.
