I keep looking at the Z4 coupé too. Quite expensive for a Z4 but cheap against an equivalent aged Cayman. Iirc the 3.0 Si that comes in the Z4 coupé is more powerful than the the standard Z4 roadster 3.0?
Diesel no good as CAZ nearby. Plus I prefer petrol engines to drive and maintain anyway.

Re: What did you do today?
I've always fancied a 130i. Maybe even as a coupé. A short wheelbase RWD hatch with a big straight six n/a - not much else like it as a modern(-ish) now.
Please don't judge me too much though.

Re: What did you do today?
The 75 is a known working entity that you know where you're at with. Kinda similar where I keep pondering about changing the TT to something else. Like a CLK coupe, fast hatch (A3 3.2/2.0t quattro) or something of that ilk. But reality is it'll cost more money to get something that will invariably n...

Re: What did you do today?
Could be either the actuator is seized or the diaphragm has gone in it. Or could be that the vacuum pump is dead or the valves aren't working. Whole bunch of things that I wonder why it hasn't been diagnosed properly. At £800 it's cheap though and being longitudinal, the turbo isn't probably isn't v...

It'll need to be fuel injection rated hose too. The Gates Barricade I buy for classics isn't. Presumably doesn't take the 50psi+ pressure that FI runs at compared to the 3 to 4 psi on carb systems.

Re: 1968 MG Midget
Next job (after cleaning the above welds) is to get this piece into place that the outer wing sits on. Fiddly as it needs to be in exactly the right place to fit the contours of the outer wing. Get it wrong and that won't sit correctly. I did the other side by putting tacks in place and then placing...

Re: 1968 MG Midget
I've been doing some stuff. Hole here. Actually smaller but I cleaned up to be a square. They're easier to make out of sheet metal. https://autoshite.com/uploads/monthly_2023_10/PXL_20231001_161419447.thumb.jpg.570b459e194f7f312b038ab7e7d4f873.jpg Welded piece on. Good simple bit to start getting p...

Re: What did you do today?
Iirc you replaced the fuel hose - definitely sure you have the right diameter fuel hose? Especially metric Vs imperial sizes as they can be close but not the same. Fuel hose clamps may offer better clamping then a jubilee clip too. Yeah 5mm ID and it was tight to go on. I'd like to do them in coppe...
