Oops, I must have failed to tighten a bolt up when I did the pads the other day as I found this when I wheeled the bike out to change the oil today... 20190428_145859.jpg I've now got a shiney replacement in place & just need to wait a few years for it to weather to suit. 20190428_150802.jpg

For those of you that don't know, VTEC is a hydraulic variable profile cam system. At a certain RPM, a solenoid opens an oilway in the head, engaging some hydraulic lifters that switch to the more aggressive cam profile. Thanks it is indeed, I always thought they weren't as a V8 isn't proper. But it hides it well & behaves like a proper engine with a lovely grumble underneath the blower screaming when asked to move.
