Yes, I did think that! Just I had a Granada 2.3Lx (small x) where it was a dealer special with certain extras over the standard L trim but hadn't seen any Cortinas with that spec.....

Yes. images.jpg Corvette engine, supposedly built by Gordon Keeble for Vauxhall but I seem to recall it was actually Jim Keeble on his own as part of the "Keewest Development" engineering firm he founded down here in Southampton after the cars themselves finished. Only one or two cars made...

What's going on with that? 1.6Lx and a Ghia badge? Don't think I've seen a Cortina with the LX designation either although it could have been a run-out that I missed.

Would seem about right, given the D plated 1100. Definitely end-of-steam era with the loco in that state, I can well remember seeing them looking like they were on their last legs, never cleaned and caked in grime.

My initial thought is that it could be an AMC Ambassador, especially as they were available in RHD. Good shout and I think probably a correct one. I looked at the later ones but didn't go back far enough..... The blister behind the front bumper and a script are visible under closer inspection. 1664...
