I should have read this first The LT77 gearbox is generally tough and lasts well, while the clutch should do the same. If the car needs a new clutch, it’s an expensive job, as the engine has to come out to do this properly. The clutch’s master cylinder is a weak spot, but a new one is about £75, so ...

Sorted out and cleaned up some of the tools I bought at auction yesterday.

Nice collection of Britool sockets in whitworth, AF and metric and some lovely Britool swan neck ringers.

In one box was this old GPO whistle

Bloody autobox! Gave the Renault a run to test the box now it has fresh oil. Started off great, going up and down the gears much better than before. I'd Alan made adjustments to the throttle cable as wasn't getting full revs and the car was zipping along lovely so drove a bit further. Then it decide...
