Re: What did you do today?

Mardi Gras parade today along the highway here. Parked up ad hoc just as the road was being closed. 20240204_120831.jpg There was a marching band. 20240204_130959.jpg Floats, music, that's the king and queen of the parade on top of the yellow float. 20240204_132040.jpg The car gathered many beads. 2...

The factory gaps there are utterly shit and got worse as the tooling wore out. You've made it better than they did new. That gap was just filled heavily and painted.

Re: 1951 Pontiac Chieftain

The car was stroppy today and didn't want to run. I adjusted the auto choke and it started up but I think it needed fuel.

Re: What did you do today?

I'd love an old American car or truck. It's just I don't have the undercover storage for one though due to their size. They do sit outside well, so long as all the drain points are kept clear. Unless you get the full cab long bed version, most American pick-ups from the 60's and 70"s are no wo...

Re: 1951 Pontiac Chieftain

The radio had become all crackles and distortion, so I fought with it and won, liberating it from behind the dash. 20240122_174910.jpg I think the damp had gotten into the connections, cleaning the pins up got it sounding good again. 20240122_180141.jpg Sat it on the bench for an hour. 20240122_1903...

Average annual low/high is 45/95f (7/35c) with spikes of hot and cold, down to about -5c and as high as 40c.

This recent cold weather is transient, it blew in from up north. Today is 19c.
