How many have you driven?
None.

Re: 1985 BMW E28 520i

You need 20 grand to get a good 6 Series. Lots of 'tidy' ones (i.e money pits) for less and even 20 grand ones can be shite. The last one I bought was in 1996, the ex Tom Jones 1984 A reg auto in Alpine white with blue leather. It was absolutely mint, recent new front wings and four new Avon Turbosp...

Or are they better off with something like a semi synth 15w-40?

Re: 1985 BMW E28 520i

 It's a scabby old 520i and the guy is dreaming. £6500 buys an extremely nice example. Back on reality street, a scabby E28 is worth what you paid for yours. This 525e - a vastly superior model - is priced about right and the Lux is a nice spec. Good colour as well. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/B...

Re: That awful colour MGB GT

The golden era of motoring has long gone. There will be no nostalgia for most cars from the last 10-20 years and therefore no market for them. Old cars proper - pre 2000 - is booming because car lovers now know that modern stuff has no future. When I was buying tidy E28's for £500, BMW were still ma...

Re: That awful colour MGB GT

In 20 years time, when some of us are as old as you, we will be saying to people of a similar age how we used to get V8 barge/NA hot hatches/RWD coupes easily for under 2 grand. MX5/MGF for half that. Pre-90s classic cars for under 5k, Etc. Hell even a flat-6 Porsche for under that. While by then a...

Re: That awful colour MGB GT

I don't care much for the BGT even if I like the styling. A Roadster however - can be a 62 or a 72, just has to be metal bumper. I'm still not old enough to want one yet. I had all the good stuff 20-30 years ago when it was affordable so I laugh at all you lot paying thousands for cars I paid 500 qu...
