Re: 1979 Trouble Spitfire

Any car that was vaguely sporting was got at by lads, especially I'd say late 70s early 80s. The addition of electronic ignition modules, spotlights, stereos and the like would have proved irresistible to any hot blooded young chap. The 124 coupe I owned had more dodgy wiring than Steve Austin...

Re: Two wheels are better* than four

Fixed, I remembered I had some contact adhesive for shoes. I stick to it like shit to a blanket now. A LOT of gravel about now thanks to the heavy rain, back wheel wobbled in a few corners!

Re: Two wheels are better* than four

Seems to be a fairly common complaint, either seats or trousers being too slippy. One idea I saw is to try 'Glove glu' as used by goalies. I've sanded the pants of my trousers and cleaned the seat with meths, I'll go for a ride later and report back.

Re: What did you do today?

I'm looking at a house later today, fingers crossed it is suitable for me. Then I can get all my stuff in there and have a spare garage again....

Ooo kinky 😉
The street triple is comfy and fairly upright, OK for an oldish fart.

What bikes do folks on here currently use? I'm thinking I'll get a Triumph Street Triple when I've passed my test.

Re: Two wheels are better* than four

I've not known any textiles that don't slide about, seems to depend on the sear cover as far as I can tell. Some are a lot worse combinations than others though. This is like its been given a spray with Mr Sheen, maybe a wash will sort em out. No, I think I'll rub over the arse of em with a bit of ...

How hard are you braking to be sliding into the tank?
Same as I would in a car, it is mega slippery material though, the old pair were less so. I think you get to be real picky after a little while biking.

Good, wouldn't like to think you were letting your guard down etc etc.
