Re: Orange rapportering - F133 and other shit

That's a great offer!

Maybe @bub2006 could use it while he gets his BM sorted out.

Re: Chadder's MGB, now 13 years off road.

In the 80s it had new part sills and wings and a full respray for £1k at a backstreet garage in Leeds. I'm in my mid 60s now and am having more joint problems as well as a knee operation so unless I get it done fairly soon I'll not be able to get in it to drive it. I'm just going to have to bite the...

Re: Chadder's MGB, now 13 years off road.

I've done a lot of research on this and it's as Eddie says. The guy at the local garage is going to put it back on the ramp and see what the minimum needed is as I've said that I'll do the paint, by rattlecan, and am only bothered from a safety point of view. I couldn't give a fuck about the appeara...

Re: Chadder's MGB, now 13 years off road.

Too fucking true but ties in with other quotes I've had which have been about £3k per side plus any thing else that they find once they've looked at it. At least this guy has finally inspected it on a ramp. That's what happens when MG design a monocoque after being used to building body on chassis c...

Re: Chadder's MGB, now 13 years off road.

Finally got the quote for the sills today after waiting 9 months. As the bottom of the front and rear wings need cutting off to replace them it's 92(!) hours labour on top of over £1k in parts giving a grand total of £5.5k including VAT - over 3 times what I paid for it, albeit 43 years ago. :o Appa...

Re: Reliable Honda Engine: a project thread

Oi! Some of us, well at least one, are over 60. I've only ever had 2 autos, both as short term company cars, a BMW525E and a Sierra 2.3 Ghia. Both my present cars are manual and I don't see an auto in my future unless I'm forced to have one. I would go all 'DollyWobbler' on you but the mods here don...
