Re: EBay Finds
Interesting it's a 1950 reg, so presumably would have originally had the lights in the wings etc, and has been modified to look like a 1940s example at the front as well as the custom body.

Re: What did you do today?
It was indeed seemingly just a blown plug and slightly lifted head. I'll update the thread in due course but it didn't explode on the run home, 30 miles a fair chunk on the motorway. Sketchy as fuck. The fuel line fell off by the rear axle and was resting on the exhaust, headlights wouldn't work, on...

It's done, except for the rest.
(Technically this was yesterday, but whatevs.)

Re: What did you do today?
Took the Tronda out for a hurl up to Aberfoyle and Callander, because Drive It Day. Failed to take any good photos of it. 278993224_704627093919427_4513951226120711193_n.jpg Saw a convoy of Rover P6s (with a cheeky W115 Merc hiding amongst them), a Spridget, TR7 (the only person to wave), three pre-...

Re: What did you do today?
I have overheard passive comments of 'gammon' directed towards me, and such like, from people who should know better, due in part to the Union Jack badge behind the rear side windows (like I fucking put it there!) They can all fuck off though as this is a great car for me. The Tronda has RACISM FLA...

Everybody would drive a white mid spec BMW 1 Series, just like everybody else does.

Re: Rusty Triumphs in Scotland
Ta muchly fellas. It's GingerNuttz who's putting in most of the graft, especially regards the cosmetic works. The car being 45 mins drive away and any sort of property with a garage being well out my price range is a bit of a shitter. The car has now been primered in my absence! IMG20220410124649.jp...

Re: EBay Finds
The issue with all these cars is they represent years of work to get finished. Even if you're just trying to get it roadworthy and still looking like shit you'd be sick of the sight of it long before they're finished.
Get the Sprint finished, sell it, buy a half decent Mini.

It's been me and GingerNutzz over on t'beige working on it at his garage. After the Acclaim he had the '66 Galaxie in for work, which overran by months as it transp...
