Re: Two wheels good.

16 years and 8 days old and I had a 'major ' accident. Spent 5 months in hospital, weirdly, after I woke up in the hospital bed, nothing hurt at all, I felt like I could have got up and walked out. 4 months later when they let me out of bed, I discovered just how wrong I was!

Re: 1966 Plymouth Fury 3

I must admit I am really warming to this old heap (sorry). I may just ask to swap lives with you, far easier than trying to buy your cars :)

Re: Two wheels good.

I let a friend have a test ride on my Bonnie in late autumn, the roads were dry but it was a bit fucking cold. Anyhoo, he rode it through some cow shit that had been left on the road (cows still need milking even in the cold... who knew?) and as it was bitterly cold, I didn't do my usual paranoid cl...

Re: 1966 Plymouth Fury 3

I did the same many years ago for a BMW 2800CS as proper exhaust were rarer than Paddington Bears offspring.

Re: Two wheels good.

I very nearly got my marching orders after I entered the marital home and informed the dear lady I had just P/X'd the brand new (but deadly boring) CB1300 S for a Benelli Tornado Tre in the same green/silver as the one you are getting. It was the under-seat radiators/fans that just boiled over the '...

Re: You park like a cunt!

Do you fuck, you abandon your car at your gaff and then walk/bus everywhere. The street you live on was closed to traffic for the entire duration of your last visit as somebody had abandoned a white Seat estate car...

Re: Building the Leg End. The Old Jag thread.

The lad is getting all new Jaguar parts for the subframe etc, £1700 all fitted and done. Fucking cheap ass Jags, when I had to buy the new subframe for the Merc (about 4 - 5 years ago) it was £2200 all in. As my Jag has been parked and unused for a couple of weeks (while I try to dry out the sodding...

Re: You park like a cunt!

If you like bad parking, come to sunny Torquay! In fact, any car properly parked is probably a cop-car but even they appear to abandon it if they get close to a legit parking spot!

Re: 1951 Pontiac Chieftain

Many years (decades) ago I had a Lancia HPE auto, its gearbox had a similar arrangement, that didn't work either! I ended up buying a tatty manual version and swapping all the manual bits into the fantastic (yes, really!) one I had. It was a much more pleasant car as a manual but I was mightily piss...
