Re: What did you do today?

You should be down here enjoying the (near) constant rain and winds. You'd have no chance of hearing a noisy exhaust over the din of a flying dustbin barely missing the front of the Note!

I have barely even stuck my nose out of the door today, pissed right off with being fucking wet through.

Re: The Triumph Mayflower.

I'll echo what was said earlier, I've never liked them, but, I do like yours! It just looks like a 'proper' car that has been cared for and has survived the decades well.

Top buying chap :)

Re: What did you do today?

Nearly lost the back of the Merc, it seems that when it says: 'ESP malfunction' it means ESP malfunction!

As an aside, why does it throw this warning up on the dash, but only when the battery is a bit low/lights/AC blower on full are on?

Re: What did you do today?

at the park earlier, sun was shining (what a rare event that is) so I put the roof down for the bimble home. Within 300 hundred yards, the first drops were splatting across the windscreen and as an added irritation, every traffic light was with me! Got stuck at some traffic lights for road works, fo...

Re: Two wheels good.

I did a load of work on a guys scooter that did the same and he reckoned it was ignition. I changed lots of it with zero success, that was the tank vent which I sussed the first time I actually rode it and fixed it in ten seconds.

Re: What did you do today?

Swapped Jag for the Merc, had to take the Merc to the petrol station as it was devoid of the potion that makes motion... Fucking garage has one entire lane (of two) dedicated to 'Pay at Pumps' which is fine by me as if I go in the shop, I spend money. But today, every single 'Pay at Pump' pump was o...

Re: EBay Finds

I was a bit bored yesterday so browsing eBay, I found an IT490... I was sorely tempted. Then I remembered that I would never be able to kick the sod over, so not a lot of use really.

Re: EBay Finds

The standard DS420 were based on the MK 10 floor pan, so even though my MK X was ancient, lots of parts were still available as the DS420 was still current.
