Re: EBay Finds

I've taxed worse! I passed p on an Interceptor many moons ago for £600, absolutely mint but some light-fingered twat had pinched the engine!

Re: The Triumph Mayflower.

The new plates look excellent, I am a fusspot so I CAN tell the difference! I'm really quite envious of your Triumph, wanna swap for a Jag/Mer/Dog?

Re: What did you do today?

I took the Jag down to TQ1 garage for its MOT and service tomorrow. I have a Corsa (what the fuck is with the indicators?) as a 'get me home' job, reg number MOT123! Just had a phone call, they had a cancellation so have MOT'd it early... it failed! Gutted... Not really, was sort of expecting it, it...

Re: What did you do today?

As the MOT is due shortly on the Jag (it's booked on for Tuesday, nearly a month early as I don't like leaving stuff to the last minute, it hurts my brain... ) I moved the cars around after taking the mutts to their favourite spot firstly in the Merc, roof down naturally as it was fookin' lovely out...

Re: What Classic ?

Has anyone suggested the Triumph Vitesse yet? I think (though I have never driven one) they are the canine's conkers, they sound fantastic and with a separate chassis relatively long-lived. I do know that you can fit the crank from a 2.5 to get a BIG engine. I'd love one to be honest but I never see...

Re: What Classic ?

I'm undecided between the Rover and the Triumph (had both, liked both) so how about a lazy choice... XJ6?

Yes, indeed they like to rust but then everything interesting did but they are super-duper vehicles to waft around in and surprisingly rapid when pressed.

Re: What did you do today?

Nearly took the front off a Merc convertible this afternoon that the elderly driver, with the top down and wind in his long hair propped out from the side street so he could see what was approaching. Didn't notice any dogs in it, or were they hiding @xtriple !!!!! If the Mercedes was popping out fr...

Re: What Classic ?

We had a P6 V8 (ex Madame Tousard no less, complete with correspondence) and it was a fantastic car. My wife (the petite blonde) loved driving it even though she had a brand spanking new Matiz that was an okay drive and easy to park etc. I swapped it for a sodding BMW 2800CS which was a pile of (ver...
