Have you worked out the chuffing noise yet?
Are inner and outer cills available, going from the pictures they were a bit eyes shut when describing the welding in the initial advert.

Hydrofluoric acid is really really nasty stuff with a habit of eating through whatever container it happens to be in including glass.

Not going to be difficult to do a head gasket if it comes to it. Do these need hardened valve seats or are they ok if you keep an eye on the valve clearances?
