As SiC says, it's got no history of rot in its MOT history. Very odd. I've owned other E36s in Scotland for longer than this and they've had constant advisories but still passed a number of MOTs.

Universal flexis, from my experience, are universally complete shit, though.
For the extra cost I'd rather bolt in a proper section of exhaust instead of fannying about with paste and clamps etc.
