It's stupid how much a bare bones recovery weighs these days. You could build a lwb mk 3 transit recovery at under 1800kg quite easily at the time. I saw a 7.5t wagon with hiab for sale - weighs 5.4t unladen without driver and lunchbox... And that would still leave 1700kg to play with. A Volvo 240 ...

My jump pack and tow pole has helped get some strangers out of sticky situations. I'm the type that can't see someone stranded in a dangerous place and if I can help I will.
