Re: 1979 Trouble Spitfire

Oh gawd this is shaping up to be another bag of shit. Why are these sports cars a magnet for fuckwit bodger owners. MG, Triumph, Austin Healey, they all fall victim to the same type of idiot. If the cars were just left as they should be they'd probably be alright. I wouldn't trust those replacement ...

Re: Rover P4 - Arrived!

The only problem you might have with these tyres is the speedometer and mileometer over-reading. Then again, Avon Turbospeeds weren't as 'tall' as other cross ply tyres. Nothing seems to generate more misinformed bollocks in motoring circles than crossply tyres. Providing you aren't driving like a m...

Re: Wobland Spottage

I just feel compelled to say wow! Some great rare finds there - just goes to show what is about even in densely populated areas, albeit in unfortunate circumstances. The old house is lovely, but I’m afraid the fantastic (not to mention incredibly rare) Crittal-type windows will soon be subject to so...

Re: The 'modern cars are shit' thread.

I have no time for techy shit made by geeks running logic circuits. Life's too short and our private motoring is under enough pressure as it is. So I only drive real cars designed by men who actually knew what they were doing. If a car from the 1950's is still giving good reliable service in the 21...
