Re: What did you do today?
I stood and watched as my mobile mechanic mate and his son fitted the new brake master cylinder and bled the brakes on my Impala. There is a much improved pedal feel now so later this week I shall take it on a test/shakedown drive via the Esso garage where I shall cry as I fill the tank with some s...

Re: Scrapyard Memories
It's amazing how much rare and restorable stuff is sitting in just that one yard let alone others. That said a lot of yards have been cleared of the older cars as nobody buys the parts from them so much anymore. Or is willing to pay the price for rare parts, there is of course always the cantankerou...

Re: Scrapyard Memories
Not so much my memories but as a friend used to say, if only cars could talk what memories they would hold. Anyway giant yard for sale in that there Murica, yours for two million bucks. Loads of interesting and rare vehicles, there's even one for SIC. Even a Thames 400E van too. https://www.hemmings...

Re: Found pics
Liked obviously because I own an Anglia. Actually the advert with the maroon Anglia with the EV reg is interesting, that car is a pre-production one and my friend who sold me mine told me that he has one of them and it may well be that one.

Re: Stupid questions about motorised conveyances
Far right is a 1969 Chevy El Camino, middle does look like a 66 Chevy wagon and the one on the left could be a Chrysler product or possibly a circa 69 Ford.

Re: Wobland Spottage
Lovely Highline Zephyr, I had a couple of Zodiacs, great cars. Back in the 70's there were still loads of them clinging to life or being banger raced. Or becoming custom cars. I'd love another one but a nice one is pricey now. Also in the spotted vein, a tidy MG Midget went past my house, it was the...

Re: Trafficators. Nuns and kittens will die.
Bearing in mind that modern day drivers seem to have the attention span of a gnat I think that it's important to have visible indicators (although drivers of prestigious* German vehicles may wonder what they are). As you know I drive an old American car (and have done so since 1976/7) and as older o...

Re: What Yas Your Wedding Car?
As I am smugly single I have never needed a wedding car, however various cars have been used as such. The first ones I think were with my 1958 Chevrolet Belair back in the late 70's. About 1983/4 a friend was getting hitched so we used my 1963 Pontiac Grand Prix, a Mk3 or 4 Lincoln Continental, 1973...

https://i.postimg.cc/7ZHMp7W8/IMG-1044.jpg Beautiful! My dream car that 8-) Funny, they've parked the cop car at the perfect "speed trap" angle right there. I've never seen a building look like that anywhere in Manhattan though. Just past the restaurant is a right turn onto a single lane bridge con...
