¡olé!

After a lengthy period away from diesel lorries while we did things that were not even remotely military vehicle related we've found another project. We did a Pioneer earlier but never really liked driving it on the road because you always felt you were fighting the gearbox. Talking to a few people ...

Re: EBay Finds

Mmmm, stoopid front end and shaft drive. With this heavy ugliness the Ambassador is truly spoiling us.

Re: EBay Finds

No, forks, like chains, just bloody work. Any effort to replace them is an utter failure.

Re: EBay Finds

However, to tell the whole truth the 1D did look rather groovy to my 1990s eyes. Pointless but groovy.

Re: EBay Finds

You have to love crap ideas like hub centre steering. The amount of effort burned on solving a problem that doesn't exist.

Re: Found pics

I only learned of that torpedoes had engines fairly recently when I was looking at a sectioned Mk8 torpedo in the museum at Lyness on Hoy. Up until then I'd never given it much thought and assumed they were just blown out the tube with compressed air or something. Anyway, looking at this section mad...

Re: EBay Finds

It's just nice to see a genuine survivor. There can't be too many Beetles that still have their original piece of card protecting the voltage regulator let alone have their original spare wheel well.

It's just a shame it isn't a '67 1500. I'd pay fifteen grand for one of those in that condition.

Re: EBay Finds

Straighter than a straight thing that has been straightened out but I don't think I could hand over fifteen bags for something so depressing. What is below poverty spec?

Re: It is all so very Super

Nothing wildly exciting been going on. We have got it going a few times but each time it has not got beyond the point of putting the chains back on. I didn't take any photos of the new piston rods so here is about three inches of shiny hard chrome plating to prove the new ones got made and fitted. A...
