Some of the BBS Standards were used for shifting massive cast ingots to the forges. The cabs of these things is never the coolest place to work but with tens of tons of near red hot metal on the back they must have been unbearable.

The BBS Standards were well known. The old man remembers going up there in the 1960s when they were selling them off but they were very, very rough. They had worked them very hard for a very long time and back then when restoring things was pretty much unheard of they were far too far gone for most....

The winch tedium continues... The shaft was put in the little Swift and the bronze bush machined off it. It was seized solid and the only bit left was the thrust face seen sitting forlornly.
