What's with the mX5 engine bit? I seem to remember Practical Classics re-engined a Dolomite with one as well. Early 90s German/jap cars, they are like cockroaches. Get a civic/polo in a low enough trim level and it will outlast most stuff. It'll be a miserable existence though.

Got in the mx5 to go to work, thought...the steering feels a bit heavy...reversed 2 foot. There's the power steering belt fully intact, just lying on the ground.
