Re: What did you do today?
Finally picked up the A55 this morning from Enfield, not far from where the Motoring Pageant is held. Having been stood since 1983 I was expecting problems but fortunatley once tugged with a Winch a few times all 4 wheels were rolling abiet on fucked Crossplies. It drew plenty of attention from neig...

Re: Wobland Spottage
That must be my Mate's old Oxford Traveller, he bought it off the Daughter of the late original owner in 2009ish. It had lived in London from new and he fetched it from an Underground Car Park in Westminster. He said it now lives in the Crewe area. https://myclassicuk.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/...

Re: What did you do today?
Yes the original dashboard is lying on the boot, not sure why the owner replaced it with an A60 one. Will have to ask him when I pick the car up.

Re: What did you do today?
Me and a mate who deals in scrap cars are going to drag it out the Garage and put it in his compound, give it a good look over then see how it goes from there. Would be great if it saw the road again just as a scruffy daily driver but not much demand for these as resto projects if a rotbox. IMG_4071...

Re: What did you do today?
Have purchased this 1960 Austin A55 which I've been trying to view for a couple of months. Was parked up in 1983 after the owner couldn't select reverse one day and has remained in the Garage since. Sadly it's rather crispy now but I've only paid scrap value for the car plus the owner has thrown in ...

Re: What did you do today?
I've no issues with the Shows really, as you say we need to have old cars displayed to the public in a positive light and encourage new people to the hobby. However I just find being stuck in a field or display area with a load of parked cars dull nowadays. I know many people who plan their summers ...

Re: What did you do today?
I also attended a Classic Car Show on a local village green today. Sadly it did remind me about why I avoid them nowadays with no end of screaming kids charging around and people with seemingly no knowledge of old cars spouting crap and leaning on vehicles for photos to go on social media. Finally m...

Re: EBay Finds
This looks like a good regular user with a nice interior. About 20 years ago there were a couple of local eccentrics who ran lateish P4's as daily drivers and I would love this as a homage to them. https://assets.carandclassic.com/uploads/cars/rover/C1466127/1961-rover-p4-100-62a76340cb50f.jpg?ar=4%...

Re: What did you do today?
I was invited to bring the Farina to a local Vintage Music Festival. It's been running since 2013 but this year was the first time they had a vehicle display. Great afternoon which started with a couple of Swing Bands playing some Miller, Goodman, Basie and Ellington, displays of 20's Charleston and...

Re: What did you do today?
Had a weekend up in North Norfolk in the Farina. The Club were having a Holiday in the area and I took part in a Saturday evening Road Run from Holt to Wells for a Fish and Chip supper, then we attended the Transport Day at the North Norfolk Railway on the Sunday which had around 200 cars on display...
